Attack of the Seagull
Speaking of being afraid, I have just discovered Stephen King. His writing is amazing. I thought that he would just be another one of those cliched scary novel writers, but it is truly very good. I highly suggust it, even if it is just reading the style, unique to itself. The book I have just finished is called Misery.
Oh, by the way, pushing the cafe cart is going to be awesome! I am so glad that I decided to volenteer at the hospital. It is turning out to be a very rewarding experience so far.
Question of the Day: What came first, orange or oranges?
This seems like a chicken and egg question, but it actually has an answer. The noun came before the adjective. Oranges first came from latin. In English the first time orange appeared was 1620.

Story of the Day: EU to Ban Selling Eggs by the Dozen
Wait...what? How could you not? I get selling things like fruit or vegstables by weight, but eggs?? It is a tradition! I totally understand why people would be up in arms over this. This will even raise the cost of groceries because producers would have to change all the packaging. It will just confuse everyone too.

MLIA of the Day: "Today I was spinning my beaded necklace around in class instead of taking my final. I hit myself in the eye. Twice. The universe is trying to keep me on track I suppose...Or point out that with the amount of coordination I have, I definitely need good grades. MLIA"

That reminds me of the time my necklace exploded in seventh grade in science class. Hilarious.

Les Miserables
School is almost out (thank goodness), and I can't wait to sleep, though I'll miss everyone there! No more homework, only stupid portfoilios, which are the most idiotic trick at getting the kids to go to the last few days of school ever.
Question of the Day: Why can't I own a Canadian?
Okay, so when ever I started a question with 'why' in google, this came up, and intrigued me greatly. I followed the first link and I found something very interesting. It was a letter from a listener of a radio station replying to something that a personel said. It was a great example of changing tradition over the course of the centuries, and though I am a devout Catholic, made me laugh. My favorite question that they brought up was "Why can't I own a Canadian?" I would check it out if I were you.

Story of the Day: US Players Stuck in Traffic Jam Caused by Elephant
I love the way they started off this article: "Forget getting past England. The U.S. soccer team had to get past the elephants first." It is pretty funny to think that such important people could get detained by an elephant. Read the signs outside of their hotel. South Africa seems like an entirely different world. Good luck U.S.A. today!

MLIA of the Day: "Today, my mom told me that when I was in first grade, I got sent to the principal's office and they called her because I told my teacher my dad was the mailman. My dad really was our mailman. MLIA"

The element californium-252 can be bought for 350 billion dollars a pound. Want to pay the bill?

Story of the Day: Child falls from 17th floor of Miami Hotel -- and Survives.
What is with all of these stories lately? People have got to watch their children! These miraculous stories of survival are out of this world. He bounced off a pine tree and landed on the dirt surface on the 10th story pool, a fall of about 80 feet. This makes me want to scream.

MLIA of the Day: "A while back, a friend of mine told me a story that happened to her back in fourth grade. One day in winter, her teacher took teh class out to play in the snow. The teacher brought out snow coloring dye so that the kids co play with colored snow. The kids were having fun, especially with the yellow snow. Hearing the kids' amused remarks about playing with yellow snow, the teacher turns around, mystified, and says, 'I didn't bring yellow dye.' MLIA."

Question of the Day: Did Native Americans cut off the noses of adulterous wives?
Yes. Sometimes their hair or ears were cut off instead. What a horrible way to be mutilated!

Story of the Day: Help Saught for 2 Year Old Smoker
Ahh!! What is the world coming to? This baby in India is addicted to cigarrettes, and his parents are trying to cut his habit down from 40 a day!!! Ridiculous. Check out the video on youtube, it just makes me sick. You would think by now people would know that smoking is horrible for your body.
