Sleep!

Finally! This was the first day this week that I had more than six hours of sleep. Oh, and by the way, thank you Bertha for the awesome code name: Rosa Soenrombry! Try to figure that one out. This weekend will be used to relax, hopefully without too much homework. The only downfall is that I'll be gone all Memorial Day, marching. It better not be too hot out.

Question of the Day: Can you cook eggs with rock music?
Technically yes, if you had it loud enough, which is nearly impossible. There'd have to be special conditions too. Sound, just as a reminder to all my fellow teenagers, can give your brain, and ears, many problems if you listen to it too much, too loud. Be careful!

Story of the Day: Congressman to Pelosi - Give Up Personal Jet
This just infuriates me. Thank goodness this Florida Congressman is doing something about the aweful spenidng on personal jets by Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi. Here are some of the figures: over $101,000 were spent by taxpayers over a two year period, just for "in flight services" on the personal jet the military provided for Pelosi. For just one flight, it costs $28,000. In 2009, the House members spent $8.7 million and the Senate spent $5 million on flights. This new bill would require EVERYONE to take coach. Thank you to Representative Bill Posey, and please get this bill passed!

MLIA of the Day: "Today, my phone rang. When I answered it, I heard nothing on the other end, so I naturally repeated 'Hello' a couple of times. When that didn't work, I said, 'You have five seconds until self distruct. Five. Four. Three. Two...' the person screamed and hung up. I think I'll be doing this more often. MLIA"

I am totally trying that the next time someone does that to me.

What's in a name?

Have you ever been introduced to someone and imediately judged them on their name? I have, and it generally does hold to be true. That may seem 'namist" or whatever, but if you think about it, that is naturally the first thing you think about after their physical apperance. A name tells a lot about the background, or possible upbringing, of a person. Does a person named Grace or Candy seem more respectable. Try blocking out a person's name when you meet them. Check out their personality, and see if it matches the name.

Wahoo! Schools almost done. (Just had to get that in there.)

Question of the Day: How do ventriloquists do it?
With enough practice anyone could do it. The techniques are relatively simple, but take an endless amount of practice. This article is quite extensive, so try to bring out the inner voice-thrower in you!

Story of the Day: Two Babies Survive After his Stroller Rolls off Platform and is Struck by a Train in Australia
Have you heard about this? How could people let their babies fall off a platform, into the path of an incoming train!? What is especially frightening is that it happened twice in such a short period of time. Amazingly, both babies survived with little more than bruises. That is a sure miracle. Hopefully there won't be another incident. Come on people, watch your kids.

MLIA of the Day: "Today, while in class, our professor started to tell us a story, but stopped himself and made us raise our right hand and say 'I, state your name,...' The entire class repeated 'I, state your name.' Fail. MLIA"

Happy Wednesday!

Yay! It's Friday!

Wahoo! Running in circles..........running in circles........okay, that's enough. Finally, the week of the crazyiness is ended. Something has gone on every day, during the school and day and afterwards, and it has ended at last. I even only went to one class where I did something today, Biology, but, hey, it was a pretty good day. The only downfalls were having my mouth collapse and orange juice spilled all over me.

I hope you all have a great weekend, and won't be spending most of it on homework like I have to. Oh well.

Question of the Day: What are the real lyrics to Louie Louie?
Since parade season is comming up soon, I thought I would give you this insight.
"Louie Louie, me gotta go. Louie Louie, me gotta go. A fine little girl, she wait for me. Me catch the ship across the sea. I sailed the ship all alone. I never think I'll make it home. Louie Louie, me gotta go. Three nights and days we sialed the sea. Me thin kof girl constantly. On the ship, I dream she there. I smell the rose in her hair. Louie Louie, me gotta go. Me see Jamaican moon abovee. It won't be long me see me love. Me take her im my arms and then I tell her I never leave again. Louie Louie, me gotta go." (By Richard Berry. Story of the Day: The Federal Fat Police: Bill Would Require Government to Track Body Mass of American Children
Oh my goodness gracious. This has gone too far. Yes, it is important that heath be taken care of, and preventative measures be shown, but over stepping kid's rights to privacy, that's a big no-no. I know that I would not want my personal BMI, which, by the way, does not even show how heathy you are, just what your weight is compared to other people, shown to the entire country. What do you think about this, read the article, then comment to let me know.

MLIA of the Day: "Today in band class, one kid that never plays his instrument fell asleep. Our teacher told us to quietly take our instruments and stand out on the hall. He then woke up the kid up and told him that it was 6:00 and he had slept through school. I have never heard a boy scream so loud or to look so panicked. He probably won't fall asleep again. MLIA"

Limp Lips

Hello everyone. My lips, as you can tell by the title feel like they are going to collapse. As of yet, I have played/sung over 15 hourse of straight music since Monday. AHH! The concert tonight is going to kill me, so if I come in tomorrow and cannot talk, you will all know the reason why.

The exaustion actually got so bad that I went home and fell onto my couch, and my brothers had to wake me up. Yeah, I actually fell asleep. Oops.

I think all my teachers have gone absolutely out of their minds. It seems like they all got together and said, "Alright, the busiest week of Maryrose's year is this week, lets all throw a ton of homework and projects at her to see if she can handle it."

Awesome. (Sarcasim inserted here).

Question of the Day: How many two letter words are accepted in a game of Scrabble?
Now officially, it is 96! Who would have known? So, if you really love the game of Scrabble, take a look at the list in the link below, and you can rub your knowledge into all your friends/families face.

Story of the Day: Another Reason Not to Take Diet Pills
Seriously, people should be happy with the way they are. Not only are they being scammed out of a ton of money, now they have to worry about being poisoned. Diet pills shipped in boxes, bottles and bags could have been secretly loaded with drugs that could kill you, especially products that come from China. These pills could cause high blood pressure, or things as serious as stroke and heart attacks. Be careful what you are putting into yourself. Check out this article:

MLIA of the Day: "Today, I read an MLIA story that said, 'My friend asked me what the longest four letter word is.' I sat here and though about what word it could possibly be for a few minutes until I realized that all four letter words are the same length. MLIA".
