Have you ever just sat down and watched the news? It can be depressing seeing all the horrible things that people are capable of doing. Stealing, killing, or hurting others in any other way is just deplorable. Sometimes you have to ask yourself, why, or how? Man's nature is to act purely for one's own self. People cannot rid themselves of the primative instinct to care for themselves before all others, even if that could mean severing the trust of another. Evidence of this is piling up more and more every day. What new lows could they come to next?
Still, a feeling of belonging, of connection is still present as well. A small glimer of hope is still attempting to shine through the darkness. Some would call it love, compassion, or the need for society. The relationships between humans can never be completely removed, though all the forces of evil may try. It is evident that it is still present because of the heroism deep in the breasts of all people. When a firefighter would jump into a burning building to save a child, or a police officer will take a bullet to protect a victim, it shows hope for humanity.
Be the kind of person that would care for another life. Put yourself aside for a week, just to see what it would be like to completely give yourself to service. In any small way, like opening the door for someone, you could make that person's day. The feeling you will get in return is priceless, and beyond anything else out there. To use the well known cliche, treat everyone the way you want to be treated. Expect nothing, give everything. Use the hero within you to make the world a brighter place to live.
My tangent is all done for today.
In debate, we chose our next topic. We will discus if zoos, or animal testing, is ethical. Please leave what you think in the comments.
Question of the Day: Can you turn orange from eating too many carrots?
Yes, you can! Only one person has died from eating too many though. Read more here.

Story of the Day: A man toured real estate properties to steal women's underwear.
This story is really bizzare. He just screams weirdo. At 58 years old, he is still living with his parents. Sketchy... He says the only reason he stole the underwear was because he missed his ex-wife. Really? There are so many easier ways to steal underwear than climbing into windows of houses. Ridiculous.

Back to Reality
Unfortunately, it is time to get back into the swing of everyday life, not the pure bliss of vacation. Just unpacking all my summer clothes was a major mood letdown. Right now, I am only doing all the homework that is absolutely necessary for tomorrow, and that means no extra credit for Biology, which I probally should have done. It would have been fun (you got to watch a movie), and useful because of the fact that you got 10 extra credit points on your lowest lab grade and test, but I just didn't have the time to do this one.
So as I sit down to do both my projects, I will take this break to give you some useless information.
Question of the Day: Does the MBTI test really work?
This is a personality test that shows what kind of personality you have, and what things you would be the best at. I was excited because some of the jobs that it said I would be good at was being a lawyer, librarian, a social science studier or an entrepenuer. I think it sounded a lot like me, so if you want to find out what yours is, look up the MBTI test online to try it out. My description is listed below.
All Rationals are good at planning operations, but Masterminds are head and shoulders above all the rest in contingency planning. Complex operations involve many steps or stages, one following another in a necessary progression, and Masterminds are naturally able to grasp how each one leads to the next, and to prepare alternatives for difficulties that are likely to arise any step of the way. Trying to anticipate every contingency, Masterminds never set off on their current project without a Plan A firmly in mind, but they are always prepared to switch to Plan B or C or D if need be.-->Masterminds are rare, comprising no more than, say, one percent of the population, and they are rarely encountered outside their office, factory, school, or laboratory. Although they are highly capable leaders, Masterminds are not at all eager to take command, preferring to stay in the background until others demonstrate their inability to lead. Once they take charge, however, they are thoroughgoing pragmatists. Masterminds are certain that efficiency is indispensable in a well-run organization, and if they encounter inefficiency-any waste of human and material resources-they are quick to realign operations and reassign personnel. Masterminds do not feel bound by established rules and procedures, and traditional authority does not impress them, nor do slogans or catchwords. Only ideas that make sense to them are adopted; those that don't, aren't, no matter who thought of them. Remember, their aim is always maximum efficiency.
In their careers, Masterminds usually rise to positions of responsibility, for they work long and hard and are dedicated in their pursuit of goals, sparing neither their own time and effort nor that of their colleagues and employees. Problem-solving is highly stimulating to Masterminds, who love responding to tangled systems that require careful sorting out. Ordinarily, they verbalize the positive and avoid comments of a negative nature; they are more interested in moving an organization forward than dwelling on mistakes of the past.
Masterminds tend to be much more definite and self-confident than other Rationals, having usually developed a very strong will. Decisions come easily to them; in fact, they can hardly rest until they have things settled and decided. But before they decide anything, they must do the research. Masterminds are highly theoretical, but they insist on looking at all available data before they embrace an idea, and they are suspicious of any statement that is based on shoddy research, or that is not checked against reality.
Alan Greenspan, Ben Bernanke, Dwight D. Eisenhower, General Ulysses S. Grant, Frideriche Nietzsche, Niels Bohr, Peter the Great, Stephen Hawking, John Maynard Keynes, Lise Meitner, Ayn Rand and Sir Isaac Newton are examples of Rational Masterminds.
Yeah! I am a rational mastermind! Anyway, on with the post.
Story of the Day:
While picking up his bride to bring her back home after a wedding reception in England, the groom was shot in the head by his uncle by accident. His uncle pulled out a lincined handgun to fire one last celebration shot into the air. While loading the weapon, it accidentially went off and hit the man in the head. What a bummer. I can't even imagine how the uncle, much less the bride feels after these events. That really stinks for them. Read the full article below.

MILA of the Day:
"Today I was in a choir concert. While most people normally change out of their tuxes immediately afterwords, I stayed in mine, picked up a dart gun, and pretended to be James Bond for an hour. While doing so, I ran into another guy doing the same thing. A battle ensued, and the imposter Bond is no more. MLIA"

Hmmm...I wonder what happened to the other James Bond. Oh well, I guess I should go back to doing my homework now (or maybe I'll just go and read some more MLIA!!!)

"Vacation"
Yeah, alright! Nothing is more relaxing, exciting, fun, etc, than a school vacation. A time to unwind, and not do any of your homework till the last minute. Please tell me I'm not the only one who does that. :-) Well, now that someone else finally blogged (thank you Riley), I can now too.
The first thing I want to address is my friends and their amazing writing. Yes, most of my friends absolutely love to read and write, and are very successful at it. Lately, they have been writing it up with all sorts of different styles. Allison, your poems have been knocking my socks off with their creative word choice and interesting topics. Amber, can I have your autograph? You better pick up and read her BOOK (I am friends with a published author!!!!) at amazon.com. Good for you, and keep on writing! And Riley, please, please, please, stop being so hard on yourself. Referencing one of your latest blog posts, I just want you to know that you are awesome, and I love reading your work. Don't even dare tell me that you have a bad writing style (I mean, can anyone have a bad writing style? Can someone please answer this question, because I really have never read a bad writing style.) because you are the most elequent writer that I know. Your story ideas are always interesting, and I can't wait to get my hands on the stuff you write. Now that I have praised my awesome friends, back to regular blogging.
Because it has been two months since I have last posted, I have an outstanding amount of stuff to say. I'll sum it all up, because there is no possible way that I can expalin it all out.
Congratulation to Allison (and me!!!) for making Districts. I was so excited when I found out we both made it: Allison on voice and I am on the alto saxophone. I can't wait to get started.
Winter has come, and it is almost gone, Februrary vacation has even past. Speaking of that, it was totally amazing and such a great time!! Wahoo!!!
There is so much other stuff, but I forgot about most of it at this point, so I will just imagine that you all know about my life enough already to know what has happened.
I am going to add another aspect to my blog. Not only will I give you a crazy story, and a question of the day, but I will give you a funny story from MLIA!!! This awesome website, mylifeisaverage.com, causes me to spend WAY too much time on my computer reading all the hilarious stories posted on it. Here we go.....
Question of the Day: Can you die from picking your nose?
Ewww. Sorry about this one. It just kind of jumped out at me. The answer is no, you can not die from picking your nose. It can cause serious problems though. You can read the very sort reply back to the quesiton yourself. The guy who wrote in this question must be a really disgusting. The picture is desturbing too.

Story of the Day: Do not put burning candles in your ears.
REALLY people. How much dumber can you get? The LA Times just reported that the FDA just issued a warning telling people not to put burning candles in your ears. Hmmm.. maybe I could work for the FDA. If all you had to tell people was stupid stuff like this that they should know anyway, then it sounds like a pretty easy job. Appariently people still do this type of idiotic thing, because they believed it relieved ear infections, sinus infections, and other aliments. This is the time where I bang my head against the wall. Read the article here.

"Today, while reading random facts I got one that said "at Andrew Jackson's funeral in 1845 his pet parrot had to be removed because it kept swearing." Go parrot! MLIA".
There are so many more awesome ones, it was so hard to chose! Go, spend hours reading them yourself!
